Dotto Tourist Train
The approximately 4 km distance between the town center of Orosháza and Gyopárosfürdő can be covered not only by scheduled buses but also by the Dotto tourist train.
The ticket price is 350 HUF per person, or 250 HUF with an Orosháza residence card.
The journey takes 30 minutes.

Fishing in Orosháza
Békés County, and especially Orosháza, is a true paradise for fishing enthusiasts.
In Békés County, not only the Körös rivers but also excellent fishing lakes await anglers during the summer months.
In Orosháza, we recommend the following fishing lakes:
A. Gyopáros Southern Lake
Fishing is allowed only from sunrise to sunset, except on Saturdays and public holidays.
B. Béke Lake / Homokbánya Lake
This lake is a popular spot for anglers from Orosháza and the surrounding area, but visitors from farther away are also frequent. The lake and its surroundings are maintained by the local Kinizsi Fishing Association. On the lakeshore, there is an event building and a fishery guard house, where you can find information about local fishing regulations, contact details of fishery guards, and other important details.
Typical fish species include: carp, pike, pike-perch, asp, catfish, grass carp, bream, perch, etc.

C. Téglagyári Lakes
Three different fishing options are available for enthusiasts. Day tickets can be purchased on-site at the buffet. There are opportunities for big fish fishing, catfish fishing, and sport fishing. The buffet offers cold drinks and fishing equipment. There is also a playground for children and facilities for outdoor cooking (bogrács).

D. New Sand Pit Lake (Új Homokbánya)
Especially recommended for boilie anglers targeting trophy-sized fish. Weekend camping is available, and well-developed fishing spots are provided. It is also worth watching the 5-minute video made by the operators of the site.

Boating on the Lake
If you enjoy being outdoors and don’t mind a bit of exercise, it’s worth heading out onto the water. In summer, there are few better family activities by the lakeside than setting off on a little adventure by boat.
Boating is, of course, not only popular among families with small children. It is also a truly romantic activity, offering both young and older couples the chance to get closer to each other in the gentle embrace of nature. Surrounded by the softly shimmering water, they can focus only on one another, leaving the outside world behind for a while. The gentle rocking of the boat has a soothing effect on both body and soul, creating a peaceful and memorable experience.
A Walk in Orosháza Town Centre
The best way to get to know a town is to take a walk through its centre.
We recommend starting at the Main Square, renovated in 2013, beautifully decorated with trees, benches, and fountains. Here you can relax in one of the cosy cafés, enjoying a hot coffee or a refreshing drink at the outdoor tables.
Just a few steps away is the main street, Kossuth Lajos Street, a pleasant and charming pedestrian area of the town. Nearby, you’ll also find the traditional small-town market and market hall, where local producers sell fresh and reliable goods.
It is also worth strolling over to Rákóczi Road and Thék Endre Street, where the town gallery is located, offering excellent permanent and temporary exhibitions. You can also visit the town’s only listed historic building, the Lutheran church.
In the town centre, everything you might need is available: shopping opportunities, banks, insurance services, hairdressers, and beauty salons.
